This 8 inch bell is Improved Cast Brass according to the manufacturer (Sea Dog), not “Spun Brass” like most competitors.

This bell meets Coast Guard, ABYC and NMMA requirements with a minimum of 200 cm mouth opening and striker mass no less than 3% of mass of the bell. Mounting Bracket included.

Add up to 2 lines of text, subtly laser etched on to the upper part of this bell, to make this the perfect complement to any vessel, porch, or nautically decorated room.

From the USCG: A vessel of 12 to 20 meters in length must have a bell of at least 200 mm (7.9 inches) in diameter. (This bell meets this requirement.)
